Sona Buzzword: Décolletage Posted 07.01.08

Décolletage (dé·col·le·tage), pronounced d?-?kä-l?-?täzh, comes from the French word décolleté, meaning having a low neckline.

It is most commonly associated with the skin on your chest and neck. This area is especially vulnerable to visible aging since it tends to be thinner, less moisturized, and often overlooked in the sun protection regimen.

In your early 20’s, your body stops producing elastin, a protein that helps make the skin firm, smooth, flexible and resistant to wrinkling. Over time, sun exposure and the normal aging process contribute not only to the loss of elastin and collagen, but also the emergence of hyperpigmentation (discoloration) and age spots.

AFT and Pixel laser skin resurfacing are both very effective ways to regain your flawless, healthy, glowing décolletage. Ask your S?na Consultant today about Pricing.
